Make Your Night a Masterpiece at Paint and Vino

By Jake Levin

Upon entering Rachel and Paul Araujo's studio in Pawtucket, R.I., each client is presented with a challenge, whether they realize it or not. Can they create a painting that outdoes the beauty of the Araujo's wine and paint studio, Paint and Vino?

The scenic view, which looks over the waterfalls of Pawtucket, is a great place to come together, create and unwind while sipping wine and mixing paints, the end product a great addition to a home art gallery. It's the first studio of its kind in Rhode Island, where the stroke by stroke sessions are instructed by local artists. All supplies are provided, including the brushes, easels, paint and apron. Each night comes with a different theme painting, such as seasonal or landscaping motifs, as well as the recreation of classic works of art. The studio can accommodate up to 71 people at a time.

"The experience is very relaxing and enjoyable," the Araujo's said of Paint and Vino. "Our artists are great in teaching everyone step by step instructions and allowing every guest to release their creative juices creating something unique and their own."

Wine is a great way for the clients to let their guard down and paint away, alleviating themselves of the pressure to impress their peers in a social gathering. Two complimentary drinks are provided for patrons. Not limited to wine, the menu also includes beer, and of course, non-alcoholic beverages for those who wish to abstain.

The Araujo's are a major believer in the arts, pointing to the outlet they create for self expression and creativity. Group events are commonplace at Paint and Vino, with sessions of up to 140 patrons available. It's a perfect locale for bachelorette parties, date nights, or just a regular old girls night out in the Ocean State.
