Ra-Mu & the Crew Deliver Customized Wedding Entertainment to Fit Any Budget

Winning the Bride's Choice award on Wedding Wire for the past seven years, Ra-Mu & the Crew bring a uniquely tailored experience to their clients. With over 19 years of field practice co-owner, and DJ, Ra-Mu was emceeing part-time during his early college days. Graduating from Boston College with a degree in marketing, Ra-Mu also dabbled in stand-up comedy in different venues across New England opening for the likes of Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier, Bill Bellamy, and D.L. Hughley.

In 1996, Ra-Mu founded Ra-Mu & the Crew with several friends and his brother, DJ Imho. Over the course of the following year, they were able to appeal to a diverse audience and book over 250 events, a true feat for a relatively small business. Today, only in his mid-30s, Ra-Mu has solidified his business' reputation, continuing to put on unforgettable parties.

A wedding can be a whirlwind of emotion for the bride and groom, not to mention a cause of considerable anxiety. Ra-Mu & the Crew want to take the element of stress and unpredictability out of the equation when it comes to wedding entertainment.

They offer a full menu of entertainment options that can be customized to fit any budget and taste. For instance, you can opt for a highly interactive experience, filling every portion of your wedding with an activity. Alternatively, you can let the evening take its course and leave the entertainment in Ra-Mu's capable hands. In addition to the core services provided, Ra-Mu also has video booths, monogram projection, scrapbooks, and love story custom slide shows.

"Every wedding is different," Ra-Mu said. "We take a blank musical canvas and try to create a masterpiece every time."

A team of accomplished DJ's, Ra-Mu & the Crew not only have deep knowledge of songs and musical genres, but are very well versed in the latest audio-visual technologies. The right wireless uplighting can set the right mood and transform the ambiance of the event. Touchscreen photo booths are a fun amenity for the guests, providing a quick way to capture special moments on the spot. Last but not least, one of Ra-Mu's many talents is making guests comfortable on the dance floor and making sure the party's flow is uninterrupted.

Staffing over 1,000 weddings and bar mitzvahs to date, Ra-Mu's DJ's have the hands-on expertise and more importantly, a can-do attitude that has served them well over the years. Devoted to his craft, Ra-Mu works at least four nights a week at events while working in the office at least five days to handle administrative duties.

"This isn't your friend bringing his iPod and a couple of speakers" DJ Ra-Mu said. "We bring professional, [high] quality equipment to every event we are involved in."

Multiple turntables, sound mixing equipment, a range of speakers, up-lighting, large plasma video monitors and other gadgets allow them to customize the sound and experience for large as well as more intimate events.
