The Pizza Gourmet's Wood Grilled Specialties Convert One Pizza Lover At a Time

By Elisha Neubauer

"Food is a big deal to our customers and something that they get excited about," says David Goulart, Owner and Manager of The Pizza Gourmet. "I am a self-proclaimed foodie and I know that I regularly get goose bumps when I eat things that are exceptional."

He states that, in today's world, most restaurant establishments are serving the most basic of foods, competing against each other with the same old menus. "We think our food is of better quality, put together with a lot of thought, more so than the next, and just tastes better," he affirms. "With that being said, we feel confident that calling it sexy gives people the right thought process as to what to expect."

When it comes to food, there is no substitute for quality, in Goulart's mind. "Our standards are exceptionally high, which is why we shred our own cheeses, make all of our breads from scratch, hand slice and fresh fry our potato chips serve them with Gorgonzola Scallion dip sauce," he details. "I could go on and on!"

That quality standard even spills over into their 'Take and Bake' pizzas. A unique concept, unlike other take-outs, in which the pizza is fully prepared, wrapped, and sent home with you to be cooked. "We are convinced, and we tell folks all the time, that we believe that you cannot put a higher quality pizza on your kitchen table unless you make it yourself and at that you better be really good at it," states Goulart.

The 'Take and Bake' pizzas are available in a range of specialty pizzas or you can opt to make your own from their selection of 60 fresh toppings. "All of our 'Take and Bake' pizzas are packaged on a cardboard round and on our high temp baking paper, which is good for 500 degrees so you do not need to use a cookie sheet or a pizza stone," explains Goulart. The 'Take and Bake' pizzas also include a house-made balsamic glaze and fresh basil, which are to be added after cooking. "Unwrap it, cook it, garnish it, cut it then serve it and enjoy," Goulart exclaims.

In addition to excellent, a one-of-a-kind pizza, The Gourmet Pizza offers appetizers, fresh pasta, sandwiches, salads, chips, dips, desserts, and more. As Goulart says, "At The Pizza Gourmet, we specialize in Super Sexy food that's created with lots of passion and love."
